Alexis Jordan is a American singer-songwriter and actress from Columbia, South Carolina. She was a contestant on the first season of America’s Got Talent and is signed to Sony Music through Jay-Z & Norwegian production team Stargate’s record label StarRoc.

R&B and pop singer Alexis Jordan kicked off her career at the age of 14 when she became a contestant on the 2006 season of America’s Got Talent. The South Carolina native earned a spot in the semi-finals of the nationally televised talent competition along with some positive reviews from the show’s producer, Simon Cowell. After being eliminated from the show, Jordan and her family moved to Atlanta.

She released her self-titled debut album on February 25, 2011. In April 2011, “Happiness” belatedly reached number one in the Netherlands.
