Yu-Na Kim was born on September 5, 1990 in Bucheon, South Korea so her age is 18. She is best known as a South Korean figure skater.

Yu-Na Kim began skating at the age of 6. In 2002, she competed internationally for the first time at the Triglav Trophy where she won the novice competition. Yu-Na landed her first triple jump at the age of 10, and she landed all triple jumps except for triple axel just two years later.

When Yu-Na was 14 years old, she landed her first triple-triple combination in a competition at the 2005 World Junior Figure Skating Championship. She has performed three different triple-triple combinations in competitions; the triple lutz-triple toe loop, the triple flip-triple toe loop, and the triple toe loop-triple toe loop. She is also famous for her fast speed on the ice.

Yu-Nu has since become a very accomplished skater. She is the 2009 Four Continents Champion, 2007 & 2008 World bronze medalist, 2006 & 2007 Grand Prix Final Champion, 2006 World Junior Champion and five-time South Korean National Champion.

Yu-Na Kim moved to Toronto, Canada during the summer of 2006 to train there full time. Her coach is Brian Orser, a retired professional figure skater himself. He is one of the most accomplished skaters in Canada’s history, with eight national titles, two Olympic medals, and a world title.
